Lehigh Township is a recycling mandated community. The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) requires Lehigh Township residents and businesses to recycle.
Residents are required to recycle aluminum, glass, newsprint and yard waste (leaves, branches, etc.).
Businesses are required to recycle aluminum, corrugated paper, high grade office paper and yard waste (leaves, branches, etc.).
All containers for recycling should be rinsed before placing the container into the recycling containers. Clean materials are important to make the recycling programs the most beneficial and cost effective.
